UPDATE: GOLF TEAM BREEZES IN TRI-MEET

Wednesday, August 27, 2008 10:03 AM CDT

The SoBoCo Eagles golf team picked up right where they left off, breezing through their first meet of the season, defeating California and Hallsville at Eagle Knoll.

Actually, "defeat" is hardly the word, the Eagles (166 team score) were 62 strokes better than California and 76 (228) strokes better than Hallsville (242).

Naomi Starr led the Eagles with a 40, Payton Schooler shot a 41, Teena Duhon had a 42, Hannah Sprague shot a 43 and Hailey Imhoff shot a 47.

The Eagles were so good that Imhoff's 47 was lower than both of the Pintos and Indians' lowest score.

SoBoCo will travel to Jefferson City for a meet on Thursday.
