The politics of football and cable TV

You have heard analysis about last week's election from about everyone on the planet. What is amazing about that is that every media outlet in the nation ran quotes from voters who all said something like, "I can't believe how negative this all is and how much money they are spending. I can't wait for it to all be over with."

So nearly everyone in the country and votes and what happens?

The media takes another week to talk about it.

Enough already.

However, there is one political movement which should be discussed.

A group of 13 United States Senators recently sent National Football League Commissioner Roger Goodell a letter expressing continued concern over what they consider the excusuionary nature of showing select pro football games on the NFL Network.

In other words: "We members of the Senate, in a bi-partisan effort, are getting a bit peeved about getting phone calls from our voters - 99% of them male - about NFL games being on pay-for-view. Do something or we'll do something about the NFL owners' tax breaks."
