Independent Films Bring the World Home For as long as I can remember, I've loved going to the movies. In the 1950s, Saturday matinees entertained audiences of kids with cartoons, serialized shorts, previews of coming attractions, adventure movies and, of course, popcorn and a box of Milk Duds. Set clocks ahead, check smoke alarms As Missourians set their clocks ahead one hour this Sunday, State Fire Marshal Randy Cole is reminding everyone to also change the batteries in their smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors. You can bet on SoBoCo's Guys and Dolls If you would enjoy the hilarity of prohibition-era gamblers looking for a spot for a dice game - "and the back of the police station is out" - combined with two quaint love stories in the "Great American Musical" venue, this weekend is a lucky seven roll.
